The Agency is the Broome County IDA and LDC organization focused on development in the Greater Binghamton NY Area.
Synopsis
Hue was hired to rebrand, reposition, and showcase how The Agency’s impact as the leading economic development in Broome County NY.
Challenge
The Agency, who was formerly known as BCIDA was unknown to the public. As a very difficult to remember and understand acronym, this did not tell any story of who this organization is and why leaders and the public in the area should care.
Creation
Our approach to rebrand and rename was strategic in order to drive the focus to the fact that The Agency is all encompassing in project development and the relationships, partnerships, and grants necessary to turn ones vision into a success.
Renaming the game.
We renamed it and created a clean, modern and strong logo that is visible in all mediums, sizes, creative outlets and government documents. Our approach to rebrand and rename is strategic in order to drive the focus to the fact that The Agency is all encompassing in project development and the relationships, partnerships, and grants necessary to turn ones vision into a success.
A bold color story.
To make The Agency stand out and stand strong as the leading economic development organization in the region, our approach was to use the black and white as the strong essence of the brand and the pop yellow was to convey the energy and excitement in The Agency’s projects, initiatives, and forward-thinking activity.
Messaging that leads.
The copy was designed to be strong, showcase what The Agency’s expertise is in a way easy to understand and that commands actions. The organization’s services, initiatives, and strategic planning, is what makes the Agency the lead economic development agency in the region.
A strong and clear presence.
Our corporate design approach was to keep it bright, yet to the point. It is a modern twist to government communication.
Data that engages.
We developed a clear content strategy and navigation to lead the user to facts, data graphics, and key information that is easily accessible and visually engaging. The website was developed as an easy-to-use full dynamic back-end experience so the internal Agency team can easily make edits, post news, events, and more so the website stays current.

Telling the story of, leadership, power, strength, and expertise through copy, print, and design. Every piece of collateral was design to evoke strength and attract those seeking a leading agency to grow, expand, or develop in the area.
